TERRY WINTER - www.skiwestcoast.com
For Terry Winter waterskiing was a fun family activity. Winter started skiing when he was around six or seven years old. Once he started learning to ski in the course, trick and jump he just could never get enough. Winter explains, "I always wanted to be the first to ski even when it was a cold early morning. When I was about ten years old my family moved to a private waterski lake, this was paradise to me. Now I see parents that are having to force or bribe their kids to ski and with me my dad had to make me stop skiing."
Winter's best advice for skiers is to buy the DVD- West Coast Slalom by Mike Suyderhoud. West Coast slalom is about being dynamic and efficient. All too often skiers struggle to pull hard thinking that it will get the job done. Pulling against the boat does not create speed; moving the body creates speed.
Winter's also recommends viewing tournaments via the web at www.proskiers.com for all the latest waterski info.
