Apparently smartphones geocode pictures. Take a look at this news clip regarding picture taking and smart phones. The evil among us can use photos you post to locate your children or your stuff. You can turn it off before you take pictures.

For those interested, the site mentioned in the news clip contains a "how to" about how to disable the geocoding from your camera app:

I'm glad I use my cell phone so much, I have no idea what the number is.

Hate 'em, Hate em, hate em.

only have it in the car for emergencies.

and they are smart folks!

I use one of them 1000 minute pre-paid phone cards that I buy once a year for $100

I think I now have about 4500 minutes left on the thing.

I just can't fathom why I would want to walk around with a string tied to someone.

My philosophy - You want to talk to me, call me at home or at work...And with caller ID, I may or may not answer the phone...that's what voice mail is for.

I can hear your message then ignore you.

I like your way of thinking.I'm much the same, use my phone for work then once i hit the driveway turn it off and landline and caller ID it is.I do not live for my phone as many do.
