I recently went from an I/O with tower and ballast to a 2006 Mobius LSV. I have 750# ballast in each rear compartment and a 450# bag in the ski locker. My boat also has the wakeplate. Could anyone give me some advice on where to start with settings for wakeboarding/surfing?

Congrats! No advice will be given until you post pics of the new ride. Each pic gets you another reply and piece of advice.

Sorry, but we like pics!

I am going to gleefully ignore protocol and offer advice. :-)

Those 750's in the rear could unbalance the boat and produce a wake that falls over when wakeboarding. Remedy: don't fill them all the way (try halfway, test the wake, then experiment with weight) OR put some people in the bow. Of course, you could also upgrade the center/bow ballast.

I have limited surfing experience (just seen it done in an XLV like my own), so I'll leave that to the experts with a comparable boat.

'bout time! Let's have 'em. As one who always follows protocol I'm saving all my great advice.

Congratulations! I just made the transition from I/O to an LSV also.
