2006 Outback V. Excellent small family boat with V drive configuation.(Two Billy Lid's and the Old Lady fit quite nice) When I am being towed behind it "I'm happier than a twister in a trailer park"
Back Ground: I brought my boat in to the dealer for it's break in service and check up. After an oil change with no other inspection they sent me out the door. I knew this was not right and asked why? Needless to say this new Moomba Owner knew more than the people behind the counter. I really think that Indmar and Skier's Choice need to reevaluate this dealership.
To the Question: Who do you use to service your Indmar, and have you been pleased with the service you get?
Thank you in advance for your reply.

I have that boat, and Iím a native of ND so Iím qualified in my own mind to answer this.
What should they inspect? The shaft packing nut requires running the boat and other than that nothing pops to mind. I check the tower bolts now & then. I use synthetic oil.
There is a computer they can hook up to the engine and run some diagnostics. If you have an issue, thatís usually when the meter starts running.
What did you ask for?
A more typical problem is asking for an oil change and getting $400 in ďhow aboutís.Ē
how abouts we bla bla bla.
I paid my dealer to wax the boat for the winter, they are more than willing to provide the service you request IMHO.
Where are you running your boat? I hear it is really dry this year (as opposed to every other year Iím not sure how.)
A more important question Ė how do the pheasants look this year? So far Iím getting good reports but my dad always says that. I guess he is worried we might not come visit this fall without them (and he is correct).
P.S. it is not a small boat, it is a sports car, BMW tracker maybe but not small.
Small is my 14' Lund

I asked for the "break in service". What I received was pathetic effort.
Runnin in West Central Minnesota -Detroit Lakes / Park Rapids / Brainerd - Depends on who's family we are visiting. Once in a blue moon Devils Lake.
Pheasants this year? Numbers are excellent now. Things have been bone dry in Western ND. Gov. Hoven is trying to open up CRP for grazing ASAP. Where do you hunt? I hunt around Washburn.

Watford City. I have hunted ducks in your area on the way in.
I love the state but there isn't a job to be had. A little oil boom right now but they never last.
My Uncle already sold his cattle. No nothing to eat & probably nothing in the fields by fall either.
Boy do you do some boat hauling.

I'm from Bismarck, and use Moritz Sport and Marine. I think its the best service department I have ever dealt with. A lot of my friends use them as well, and I have never heard any complaints. I had my break in service last year, I got my oil and tranny fluid changed, and they said they had a break-in check list they went by, I think they charged me $75. They have a mechanic there that just blows me away. He really knows these boats.
As for Pheasants, I go back to my hometown of Beulah at least once a week, and see about 50 of them alone side the road every time (about an hour drive). They seem to be plentiful this year around here.

I am from Fargo...and I bought my boat here in town...I am a little hesitant to get my boat serviced from the dealer I bought it from, but I haven't found any other options. I am open to suggestions though. When I had my boat orientation, I think I knew more about the boat than the two guys walking me through it.
ABUCKOTOMAMBO - do you ski/wakeboard around the area?? I am interested in getting some sort of a club together...I think it could be a riot.

What do you operate? Did you pick it up new this year?
Yes I ski/trick/wakeboard in the FM area. Ski Club would be awsome.
Growing up a group of kids put a club togeather and did a show Labor Day weekend on the small lake I grew up on. We did Pyramids, Barefoot (two foot jump out, tumble recovery, beach starts), Jumps, Three Man Slalom Weave. People Skiing on 2x4's, canoe paddles, cedar shingles. Trick skiing, Saucer Tricks, Dog behind a surfboard. We had a blast!
Give me a call, I'm always up for a ski adventure.

I have an 06 Outback...it gets the job done. I pretty much ski/barefoot with a buddy of mine. We haven't attempted most of the crazy stuff you mentioned, but I am up for anything. I have a place on Lida (near Pelican Rapids if you are not familiar)...not the greatest ski lake, but I'll go anywhere.
What are you skiing behind now?
Do you have a place you normally ski, or do you trailer to different lakes?
We'll have to get together.

Thinking about heading to the lake from Fargo after 5:00 on Aug 1 or 2. Don't know much beyond that.
If you have an interest in going shoot me a PM or IM with you email address and we can figure out the particulars.
