The Walker Project is owned by Mike Walker. A long time surfer.
He's the fellow who creates and donates the custom wakesurf board to the Florida Jamboree.
You do not need to be the next Drew Danielo or Chase Hazen. The team rider search is every bit based on character, integrity, personality as much as it is rider talent. You do not need to be a "pro" to submit, you just have to be a wakesurf enthusiast with a passion for the sport, looking for the sponsorship of a wakesurf company and the support of a team.

Details:
2008 Team rider search for The Walker Project. Riders will submit video and pictures that will be displayed on wakeoutlaws.com with online voting by the community and wakesurf industry professionals. The final selection will be completed by wakeoutlaws.com and The Walker Project, the preliminary selection will be done by the community using a voting select. There will be two winners, 1 female, 1 male, with no age limits.
Winners will be announced and publicly awarded exclusive team rider gear, new wakesurf board and more.
Recommended Submissions:
#1) 1 Video, non action of rider bio and reasons why they are the next team rider
#2) 1 Video, wakesurfing action, no longer than 3 minutes - should be exclusive to the rider
#3) High-Res pictures submission of wakesurfing action shots
Contest Rules:
#1) Riders must submit at least 1 video, no more than 3 minutes per clip
#2) Riders must submit at least 3 high-resolution still pictures of them riding
#3) Riders under 18 must have signed consent by parent or guardian before contractual agreements are met.
#4) Must be registered on wakeoutlaws.com, at least the free membership package.
Requirements:
#1) Riders must be actively able to participate in contests, demos and photo shoots
#2) Winners must agree to the contract provided by The Walker Project
Prizes:
#1) Custom hand-made Walker Surfboards
#2) Exclusive team rider gear
#3) Free contest entry fees, standard sponsorship
#4) Action photos used in national marketing campaign
