i can't believe they banned you for that post. i read it shortly after you posted. it seemed like it was in line with their rules. but they are the gods of their domain, so they can change.
we should be glad for the chance to get more dedication of your time and knowledge, and the good clean jokes.
damn - sux to hear Ed, surely that's a statement on their goal of progression and expansion of the sport.
I came over here tonight just because I read your "safe to post" on WO, I assumed it was prompted by something over there.

SO,
is the gestappo that strong or can you just register a new screen name?
I had read the posts about commercialism, etc. and Ed's post.
I did not see an issue with Ed's post.
There are some fun posts to watch on there as there are some hot buttons that get pushed every week. There are a pile of folks who like to light the fuse, toss in an M-80 and run!
Seem like lots of folks who hide behind their screen name. Our company has a message board and we have the same problem with folks who hide behind screen names fire shots across the bow and directly at people/brands.
Ed, time for a new screen name...
I suggest gotbanned?

Maybe this will help. Not family friendly.

Your post didn't even come close to violating thier board rules. Anyway, why would you want to re-register with that site? Aside from the skiers choice faithful, most everyone else seems to be there to stroke their ego rather than improve their experience or skills.
Just my observations. I'll keep checking the posts and if they actually solve anything worthwhile and not all ready covered on moomba or supra bulletin boards, I'll let you know.

It's unfortunate to hear that Ed's giving you a less-than-truthful version of what transpired. I didn't ban Ed for that post. However, I did warn him with an email that included the following...
"I'm going to put this out there for you one last time in an attempt to return our Wakesurfing forum to a place that is free from influence by people and companies that are more interested in selling product than promoting the sport of wakesurfing. Stop making attempts to blatantly promote the companies that help you with your events or have otherwise made their way onto your "list" of companies you'd like to help. Please don't write me back and tell me how you're not affiliated with these companies because anyone that knows how to use our search tool can see that you've got an agenda whether you want to call it an "affiliation" or not."
Although I was hoping Ed would understand that this kind of "creative" advertising is a detriment to the discussion board (and the sport) and that we could move forward with him continuing to post useful content, his reply to me was to "get off your high horse and don't blame me for you losing control of your own board."
I responded with the following, "I'm sorry you feel that way. It looks like we differ in our opinion of the type of content that should be included on a discussion board. Until we can get on the same page, I think it would be best if you no longer participate. Thanks."
As you can see, it was Ed who chose not to participate in and abide by the rules of our forums. It's a shame because he obviously has a lot of knowledge and passion for the sport. Hopefully, he won't make the same mistakes on this forum and you will all benefit from his knowledge and experience.

Dave, things getting a little slow over on your board (wakeworld.com)?
It's an honor to have you visit our new wakesurf forum and we have no problem with you mentioning wakeworld.com here.
Thanks for chiming in and trying to set the record straight.
We love ya man!
Oh, by the way, how's that horse doing?

Just like a true Teke. Been asked to leave yet another fine establishment.
I haven't been on Wakeworld in over a year. Since getting my Moomba and prowling this site, there's nothing for me over there.
Funny you mention the Teke connection... the chapter I was in (Iota Eta) was banned out of existance by the school - Slippery Rock State University.
I'm starting to see a trend here :)
Ever get strange reactions from people when you tell them you were in the same college fraternity as Lawrence Welk?
