Here is a photo of James Walker (on left), National Boys Wakesurfing Champ, surfing behind a boat with absolutely no additional ballast.

Look at the size of the wake James is riding. It's not much higher than his board.

It's all rider skill.

I know. I tried everything that I knew how to do to post it larger.

It can be found on the Wakeoutlaws wakesurfing forum under a thread called "Yo Surfdad".

When you open it, make it larger and then check the properties, it's no longer a .jpg file.

Please, feel free to try!

here's a link to the larger view

Edit: here's another how to tip...

I was able to save the photo in the above link in "Paint" as a .jpg file.

Then I uploaded it to a website that hosts photos and then I was able to link the .jpg properties here.

Why does this make me feel so incredibly inadequate?

See now that's what I'm talking about. My Outback may get to see a couple more years yet!

sled - I'm with you. While there ain't no such thing as a perfect boat that'll do everything, our Outbacks come mighty close. Ya, they're not as big and comfortable as a Mobius, but we're having just as much fun. Ski, wakeboard, wakesurf, tube, barefoot - our Outbacks do it all. And with the price of gas what it is, I'll bet the smaller, lighter Outback costs less to operate. Might take a little water over the bow every once in a while, but like some others have pointed out, it's a boat and suppose to get wet. Yup, I'm keeping my Outback -- for a lot more years. :D - Deerfield

I'm with you guys.

Although I would dearly love to have a V for that extra floor space,

the Outback DD can be configured to handle whatever water sport I want to participate in.

My 2003 runs great, only has 170 hours on her, still in new condition and most important in the current state of economic affairs.........paid for!
