Today I had an opportunity to try three new wakesurf boards.

Phase 5 Oogle
Inland Surfer Green Loogie quad
Inland Surfer Blue Lake quad

Without going into great detail, let me just state...

My brother in law's girlfriend had one of those phones that shoots video.

She shot a vidieo of me surfing the Blue Lake...My back leg got tired and I peeled off.

Length of the video she shot of me free riding was 6 minutes, 42 seconds.

Brothers and sisters...you want a cuising board - the Inland Surfer Blue Lake needs to be in your board inventory!!!!

Folks at the Atlanta and Tampa jamboree's will have an opportunity to ride a board that will allow them to free ride longer than they ever thought possible.

I picked up a Blue too and a great board for the boat. Fins are a bit big and we were having trouble landing a 360 but for long free rides and good turns for everyone in the boat it's a great board.

Ed, what were your impressions of the Green Loogie quad? Obviously not a long distance cruiser.

Green Loogie is one fast little board!!

That thing is definetly more board than I can handle at my skill level. I just enjoy cruising as long as possible, therefore the blue is more my speed.

Some day if I ever attempt to learn 360's, the loogie probably will become my board of choice.

You should give it a try. I'm sure you will be impressed.

Jeff Page sent me different length fins to try out, including some red speed fins that are about 2" long. With those fins the Loogie ought to fly all over the place.

Ed - I thought that fins provided control so a rider could steer the board. How does a fin, or different size fin, make the board fast or faster? Thanks. - Stuart

Stuart, you are correct.

Sorry to confuse.

in my nomenclature, fast = maneuverable.

With smaller fins, one can slingshot thru a turn and spin the board around faster.

I am perfectly happy with my CWB Razr.

It will be years before I outgrow this board.

Deafgoose, I hear what your saying.

The very best board for anyone is the board that gets them surfing.

Ed - Got it, the explanation, but not a surfboard, yet. Thanks. - Stuart

Deerfield, we'll hook up at the Jamboree and you can be my guest and try out my board. It is a blast and way easier on the old bones than trying to land crazy wakeboard tricks, I just love it!

A surf session at the Chicago Jamboree should be a blast. I'll have an IS Blue and Red to add to the mix. The only problem is finding enough deep water - most of the lakes don't go much above 5-7' and the deeper spots tend to get pretty congested.

Chad welcome to the mix, and if there is a will there will be a way. See ya at the Jamboree!
