View Full Version : Awards Today
Here is a Mama post for you...
This morning Mike and I were invited to Zachary's new middle school. The principal and assistant principal from his old elementary school wanted to present awards to the current 6th graders (5th graders from last year) for their achievements. Zachary got a special certificate for getting a score of 5 on all three FCAT subjects (Science, Reading and Math). He was the only one to do that. We are still not sure where that comes from!!

Wow! It's probably more like which one of you gets to take credit! He's got some smart parents.:)

Now have you forgottten when the kids do good they get it from their moms. And when they do something no so good, its from the dads. Kidding...
that is great. and nice that they came to the new school to acknowledge it.
How are the kids enjoying school? Mine all like their teachers. They are doing the work, not all of them are like it (boys) but they are doing it. :)

Ha! I tried that but it only went over well with MY parents. :)
Believe it or not, my kids are HAPPY to be back in school. I have a great work schedule for when they are in school. I am at work at 5 and am off before the little one gets home on the bus. Zegm puts them on the bus in the morning. But in the summer they have to go to some program while I am at work and they just hated it this past summer. They kept asking why I couldn't get the summer off too..Oh the guilt.
We are struggling with Eliza getting her homework done. it is AMAZING how different two kids from the same parents can be! Zack is so serious about schoolwork and Eliza is such a clown.

Our kids start school at 7am, try gettin 3 little ones motivated at 6am and try to keep them from getting distracted before you have to drop them off.
Congrats to Zach!
Mrs Z, these 2 boys are more alike than I think either family wants to consider. When these 2 finally get to meet, and hang, well it might be followed by some sort of Cosmic event! :)
Cosmic event...Sled you make me laugh all the time! Do you help with getting them ready for school? Mike does all the work at our house - kicking them out the door to face the world. I get the easy job of welcoming them home.
Mrs. Daze, It has been awesome to be home when they get home...and cheaper than after school care too! PLUS now I have a running buddy with Eliza.
