Impeller Location

I have an '05 Moomba Outback Direct Drive. WHere is the impeller located. Can't find location from looking at the owner's manual or engine manual.

On my 02 it is located on the crankshaft, you can always follow the hoses from the hull up into the engine compartment...it will eventally take you to a pump..

[04OUTBACK]

When you open the motor cover, it is directly behind the ski pole. There is a waterpump on the lower pulley.. The attached pic should help some, although it is from v drive fresh water cooled engine..

there should be 4 brass screws affixing a cover on the impeller on that water pump.
The replacement part is a Johnson 812B www.skidim.com
