So, while surfing Craigs list one night I see some guy getting ride of a year old Liquid Force wakesurf board. And while most know I'm a hard core skier and have been training my kids along those lines who am I to turn up a good deal and deny my kids all opportunities, and so I buy the board. It sits in the garage for the next few months waiting for summer to come.

My sons first ski of the season goes well and after he crashes, he asks for the wakeboard he wants to give it a try. Well and I attribute this to his solid skiing background, on the very first try he gets up! He does a face plant but gets up. Come around to give him the rope and he's ready to go again. Here is a pic of his first time ever on a wakeboard.

Don't get me wrong he wasn't jumping like a kangaroo or going vert, but he was cutting and pulling looking for his limits on his very first pass. Looks like that tower may get added sooner than I thouht:)

Never too soon. This one your looking at was on trainers at 5 by himself, and was on the slalom by 7.

Nice Sled i hope my kids when i have them are into the water sports too.

Tip.. Along with the wake tower get the wake board rope. It will help a lot since Ski ropes are flexible and wake boarding you don't want a flex rope.

Great looking ride he had there thought. We all wish our first time out was that easy looking lol.

I started skiing when I was about 5, picked up wakeboard around 14 and I haven't gone back since. Get them started early and just let them ride whatever gets the adrenaline going.

That's just how he is. Skiing, surfing, tubing and now wakeboarding, he just wants to be out and be the best he can be. A couple years ago a Moomba Dad posted a video of his 9 yr old daughter on a slalom ski. He watched the video and has been driven ever since.

But to be honest he's just a water junkie. Fishing, snorkling, scuba, driving boats plus all mentioned above he's just into it. In fact so are all my kids but they're just trying to keep up with there older brother:)

sled - Let's get my boat up to your lake or you guys down to mine so we can get your son behind my Outback. It has the factory tower and ballast. Give it a test before you buy for your Outback. - deerfield

Deerfield works for me. We had Will and his family over this past weekend with his Supra. Was a great day on the lake!

We taught Drews (wolfemans) 2 daughters how to ski and kneeboard after they watched Eliza. Now they are wakeboarding too! We can't seem to get Eliza to want to try it. She loves the kneeboard!

My boys have been playing with my surf boards off the pier. They try to stand on them then get pushed to simulate surfing. So far both of them can stay up no probs. When our slow no wake is lifted we'll have to let them try surfing again.
