Slight leak from strainer

Is there supposed to be an o-ring on the water strainer? I'm getting some leaking from it and there is no o-ring. I have a LS Direct Drive.

if ur refering to fresh water strainer, yes there should be one. I installed one after the fact, it is a sherwood.
