It should read the depth from the transducer mount location. Most units have a calibration feature if the reading is not what you want.

Hey Berg, found a hole i my ski locker. Do you have any issues with water in your ski locker? Its listed under Service and Repair. Look at the pictures. Our boats are very similar,just wanted to give you a heads up. Rick
