We own a 2006 Supra Sunsport 24V, and have encountered that pad runout issue. I was wondering if maybe you could share some light on the topic with me. My dad and I did a little bit to the pad last summer, but it was just a temporary/quick fix. This summre we want to completely replace those pads and everybody says you are the guy to talk to. So, if you can tell me where or who I can order pads from that would be great, and if you have any tips for getting the tower unbolted from the fiberglass. Thanks for your time.
  2. Doc, the main purpose of those set screws is to allow the side to side rotation of the tower foot when setting the tower on the boat during installation. If we're talking about the same set screw, there is one on each of the feet right above the two allen bolts that hold the rail to the breakaway. If I were you I'd get some red loc-tite and put it on that set screw and tighten it down. If you're having an issue with them staying in that will solive it and they won't fall out anymore.

Hi there, I have a 09 21v supra and what are your thoughts on the. 3/8 x3/8 set screw that hold the screw thru the tower onto the swivel that is inside the tower leg ? The swivel is the bolted to th tower foot. These set screw constantly work loose.
