    Mine was a 2006 that failed in 2009, luckily still under warranty (even though I had to pay the labor I think). No problems since, thankfully.

    It is difficult to remove the filter, last time I had to remove the fuel hoses going into the tank and bend them out of the way...

    I have one, just directly replaced the old fuel filter and capped the 2 unused ports. I can take a pic tomorrow if you needed one.

    I'm curious why you wait till you get to the ramp to put the plug in (assuming you mean rear drain plug)? I usually do that at home before I leave for the ramp and before I put the swim platform on....
