We could always just plan an August weekend and hope for the best. We may be doing crescent bar in August. July always works too. Water is higher and weather is very predictable.

Yeah, didn't read the part about the t-stat. Sounds like the problem.
Probably a kinked hoses or a block. Remove the hoses at the block and blow through it. That will tell you a lot.
