I don't think it would be that hard, just time consuming. I'd start with a sanding block and 220 grit just to see what's under the paint.
Who knows how much gelcoat they removed to paint it, if...

I'm in Belleville, I may be able to help you out. I wet sanded, polished, and buffed my boat.

Ya, we're just learning, truth be told we're still trying to go W2W. It's scary with all the broken bones stories and chipped teeth and stuff, found in the "guts to go invert" thread.

Ok, how about two old guys, both of us are 44.
No big air, but I think we're on par with the mid 40s crowd who think they're still 20.
I bought the chrome decals at the dealer. They don't give them away, I think 200+ per side, plus 50 for the matching transom, but they were worth it in my opinion. Brings the boat into this...
I did the chrome letters on mine, check it out

Squeezing my hull together to close the floor crack.
The black part under the steering wheel is where I put in a dogbone shaped piece across the crack to hold it together fiberglassed...

I drilled the holes in the transom stringer, next to nothing came out, but the flotation is totally saturated on the right side. I rigged up the shop vac to fit into the 1/2" hole and...
Hey jay dub,
Sorry for butting into your thread. From all the research I've done the only way to dry out the saturated flotation is to open up the floor and dry it out, or replace it. Vacuuming it...
The moomba rep I've been emailing, John Buescher, told me I could drill a 1/2 inch hole in the stringer where it meets the transom and crank the front of the boat up as high as possible, the...

So, the moomba rep got back to me about trapped water. He said I could drill a 1/2" hole through the stringer where it meets the transom and the water would weep out of there into the bilge. I'll...
I am going through a similar problem with my 02 outback. After months of chasing the listing problem by trying to fix the brass under the boat, I have discovered a huge crack along the...

Thanks, I can't see it being weaker than the glue moomba used

There was a fairly big oops on the right front just under the rub rail, right about where the box beam stringer (? I don't know what you call it) runs up the side of the hull. I repaired the gel...

Last week, I read about trapped water possibly causing listing. I don't have a ski locker, so I was looking around for a place to drill a hole in the floor to check that possibility out. I found a...

Well.... to keep the boat level at speed, three people, two in the spotter's seat and one up front on the left.

Laser sighting no, eyeball sighting. When I reinstalled them, I clamped them both between two pieces of 2X4, they look very straight. However, I will check tonight to ensure that they are...

Also, should the prop be to the left or right of the rudder?
06-25-2014, 01:05 PM
Ok, so I put it all back together and finally got it on the water. I had my rudder pressed straight, new strut, shaft is straight and true. I put the tracking fins back on they are very straight. ...
I'm looking at putting a very simple system in my 2002 Outback. With all the underwater brass I'm replacing this year, simple is all we can do right now. We don't care about blasting the lake, and...
Thanks guys, we've decided that we would like to have a vdrive if we upgrade from the outback
Thanks guys, I think we've decided that if we upgrade from the outback, we will go with a vdrive and something newer.
The price sure caught my eye though....
I found an 01 mobius today for 11500.
It looks to be in great condition, but has 1500 wakeboarding hours on it.
Factory tower, wakeplate, new steering cable, any damaged upholstery has been...
I found this möbius today for $11500. I spoke with the owner, the interior is immaculate, some of it has been re-upholstered. Carpets are good, general wear and tear on the fibreglass, but no...

Thanks for Responding guys,
I received a PM from John Buescher, Customer service at Skier's Choice. He indicated that the alignment of the engine due to the strut and the bent rudder are most...
