My thoughts exactly, guarantee they forgot to reassemble something, no way they would admit to it though.
I have always serviced mine, and never had a problem (touch wood)....its easy peasy!

I normally run my p.p. at 19.5mph with the tide, or 20.5mph if ballasted and loaded with friends heading into the current.
Freshwater, but we have the highest tidal measurement in the UK.

Meant to add my link some time ago.....
On my youtube channel you can see where we board on the tidal stretch of the River Severn in England.
Here you can see my Moomba Mobius V 2000 (imported...

The very kind Dennis Backus at UFP informs me they are 7/16 by 20 tpi......
At the rudder end, I completely cover the linkage in grease.
I also turn the wheel so the tube is fully extended, then grease all over,
and then turn the wheel the other way and grease again, ...
I cannot remember if there are any warning signs, but I can tell you that I had to change mine after putting the boat away for winter in October, then trying the steering wheel in March and it was...

If you are planning a trip across the water next summer, drop in and have a tow with us.
I have a Moomba Mobius V, ride with a great bunch of boarders at our own club,
You probably want to get any trailer problems resolved before going on any measureable journey.
I towed my Mobius from my club in Gloucester UK, to Gastes, in France (1 hour south of Bordeaux) in...

Sorry, yes, I have a hole running from the front ski locker to the rear engine compartment.
I don't have an actual drain plug in the centre of the boat (like some Mastercrafts).
10-03-2012, 03:05 AM
I only have 1 drain....at the rear of the boat, no centre drain.
The water is stuck in there with no way to escape....I might have a look this weekend....but I don't want to spend days at it.
Yes, that picture is correct....it's the tower mount which has stripped threads....
As it seems they are no longer available, i will have it re-threaded with an insert.
Thanks for the advice.

I have this "trapped water" issue with my Mobius V 2000.
Its been like this for the 5 years that I have owned the boat.
I just look at it as extra ballast...
It does get cold here in the UK...
Can anyone help me identify and source a replacement tower mount for my Mobius V 2000?
The internal thread is stripped on one of the mounts.
Attached pic of the mount.
I stand corrected.........
quote "MPFI does not have a carb" unquote
Then how come i take the flame arrestor off and look down into a carb???
My engine and docs all state MPFI, and Indmar confim.
Cross references exactly to a Mallory Pt # 9-37824R, and a AC Delco GF481 filter.
Old filter full of crap, no wonder it was bogging down.
Bring on the...

On my Moomba V 2000, i can rotate the prop by hand but its like turning over an engine, feels like there is resistance.....easy in some places, worse in others.(almost like fighting compression)

Its the correct shaft.......
My guess is the dealer sold me the wrong steering cable.......its the only logical explanation.....too long.
I will contact Moomba direct for the recommended part...

Mobius V around 2000 was standard rotary steering type, not rack and pinion.
Has anyone any experience of changing from rotary to rack and pinion?
Maybe my steering cable is too long ..... i...

I have a Moomba Mobius V 2000.
Rotary steering installed with cable and all the required components.
I have now hit my prop twice with the rudder. (costing me $200 per time)

So, i'm looking around for a spare propeller for my Mobius V 2000.
There seem to be different sizes recommended by different manufacturers/stockists.
I cannot remember (as my boat is currently...
