we have a 2008 xlv and when we have the boat loaded with people or ballast, the steering becomes stiff... Any thoughts on if this is normal?

We have an 2008 XLV. We only fill up the rear bag (400lbs stock) on the side we surf on... added two fat sacks (400lbs each) one sits on the back seat, and the other sits on the surfers side seat......

Our perfect pass display now has "lines" up and down which prevents us from seeing it... Kind of like someone pushed the display really hard and the display got all distorted.... No one pressed on...
