    I'm running 180x2 rms to my pro80's and they sound fine. I'm in no hurry to upgrade that amp. Maybe that's because the 700x1 going to the pro485 makes the pro80's seem a little insignificant...?

    FWIW, I have several older KAC kenwood amps in my boat and one of those is the older version of the one you mentioned (kac-8402). It works great running 4 wetsounds xs-65's. I was on a tight budget...
