I have a feeling I will be out in April sometime, but I likely won't wakeboard until the water temp gets to the mid 50s. The guy I go with is very dedicated, he will be out there in a drysuit as soon as he can. In fall, I think he winterized his boat a week or two before Thanksgiving.

Last 2 weekends I took folks from the boat show out for demos. Don't know if that was good or bad. It was great to get out on the water but kinda sucked that it was too cold (at least for me) to get in. Actually, if the wind wasn't whipping so hard, I might have squeezed into the wetsuit and gotten in a run or two.

down here in the Houston area we have this group/organization called the gulf coast wake association or GCWA for short. We have a website and message board at www.gcwa.com and we do events every year. Usually one in the spring, one in the fall and one in the winter plus other things randomly. Most events take place at bethy creek resort. We have a annual ride in feb called the freeze ride

Ryan two years ago we started April 1st, last year was rough though and we didn't get an early start at all. Would you have any interest in heading to Brostock?

I have been both years it was in Arkansas. It is a good time and has had some great water for personal riding. I enjoyed the days leading up to the event more than the event itself. The 3 or 4 days before there are wakeboats everywhere and everyone doing their own thing. It's fun to watch. We also got to watch some of the pros free ride.
The event is hard to see but it's fun. The first year we were tied up in what I would call family friendly zone. The second year, not so much. You can get a good feel of what you are pulling up to ahead of time, though.2006 Supra 24SSV
