Is it just me, or does that wave seem to be awfully close to the center of the "rooster tail"?

Most waves I've seen extend out past the hull of the boat

I'll reserve judgment as well. A video with a surfer for perspective and also a video shot with a normal lens. Those wide angle lens make it difficult to determine the actual size & shape of the wake, just look at how the wake and the sky bow...

Well, I'd want to calibrate the speedo. I think the 10.5 MPH was a little faster than that. It looked fast to me anyway.

The surf videos always look like you're going much faster that you are. There are a few others on my YouTube channel you can watch of the girls. All you will get from a rider is perspective on height. This shows how long & clean the wave is and the lip way back in the pocket.

I will try and get out in the water this weekend. Capt'n Kraig - why don't you join me?

Without a rider on the wave all the pockets look nice and long.

Oh so you're trying to max out the boat capacity are ya? Gonna dig the rub rail right into the lake.

Need max weight = invite big ol fat tub of self propelled ballast.

It sounds like fun. Not sure I can talk the wife into it.

I could sit in the rear corner and run a camera (with normal lens), that'd add a good 275 to your ballast tally.

Let me know the details of what you are planning and I'll see if I can get congressional approval.

Would be nice to see a side view from a chase boat but I know that's asking a bit much but it would provide a true perspective of the wake' height, length, and usefulness of the pocket with a rider. A "normal" lens view with a rider will be plenty though. How was the darkside?

What's the drive from Copperas Cove to Atlanta 10-12 hours? Swing on over!!

The chase boat idea sounds cool. If Drew can work out a second demo boat from Atl Marine we'd be set.
