Nope, just asking out of curiosity. Gives you piece of mind if you know the boat will alert you if you aren't checking the temp gauge.

Ha - good luck with that... With a fresh water system and low temp thermostat you aren't likely to get too hot. We don't get the warm water temps like they do in the south either. Unless you have blockage or failing pump/impellor you should be good to go. Just make it a point to glance over at your temp gauge every time you go to put it into gear.
