    Default Aggravating high idle......

So my 04 xlv developed an intermittent problem a couple weeks ago. About half way through the day my idle starts sticking around 1200rpms. If i snap the throttle in nuetral or shut it off and restart it, sometimes that will drop it back down to 7-800 but after a couple pulls it goes right back up. I checked the throttle arm on the side of the throttle body and its all the way seated when the idle is sticking. So as far as I can tell I need a new idle air control valve. I tried to buy one aftermarket at the parts store. 96-2002 chevy 350 has the same part number for the IAC valve and its different than the one on my boat. Does anybody know what I need to look under to find one or know the part number for the correct IAC? Atlanta marine wants $220 for that little thing. Which is way over priced. Id rather pick one up at the parts store for $70 and save the money.

Yeah, seems a bit high, but over priced may be relative based on how frustrating it may be to find the right part.

Try calling Skidim. The ones I'm seeing on skidim are 173-198 ish so 220 doesn't seem too far out of line.

I have an extra IAC that you can try before you buy one. I have the same exact problem but the new IAC did not fix it. The problem is in the PP. A backup throttle return spring seems to have temporarily fixed it.

Now there's a Moomba brother stepping up to help out!

When you guys get that problem fixed, let me know Mikes as I have one I could use your help with, too. My beer cooler is empty.

Try cleaning the one you have with some sea foam first
