JV - we like the Skylon racks much better.

Did not realize the locking pin on the skylon, with our lake it gets rough and a tension only rack would be dangerous. All is good.

Yes, the pins are working properly. They fully engage, but when running hard on choppy water causes them to work themselves out somehow. I think I am just going to get standard racks, so the boat will go in the garage. I will discuss trading them in under warranty. I dont run the boat with boards in the racks for now.

Nate - are the release knobs moving up & down for you? One of mine worked perfect out of the box, the second I had to take apart (fairly simple) and work the pin in/out a few times. When you take it apart, you will see the depressions the spring loaded pin recesses into so that the racks are locked in place. They won't rotate freely.

If the pin is engaging and you want to have more resistance when they rotate, there are 3 set screws on the bottom that you can tighten up.
