Since it seems like summer is over up here in Michigan, I decided to change all the oils in my boat today, and attack the transmission screen for the first time. I followed DOCDRS Transmission and Vdrive post, but I found a minor issue with it. The two bolts that hold the transmission screen cover plate are metric, and therefore require a 13mm wrench, not a 1/2 inch wrench. In some cases a 1/2 inch wrench may work, bot not in all. I do not know how long the transmission has been using metric hardware, but it is definately metric in the 2010's. I was going to add this to DOCDRS post, but it is closed. Hope this helps others that have tried.
