Was winterizing my 2011 Outback V. Pulled the drain plug in the muffler. Went to put it back in and it stripped out. Any good ideas for a fix?

Muffler should be fiberglass, just get a slight larger thread size and it should screw right in

It is fiberglas. Can't tell if its reinforced with a nut on the inside or if the threads of the bolt just cut into the fiberglas. I'll try a larger screw and report back.

Glad we don't need to drain the mufflers on the DDs. I'd have to remove the engine cover, three rear panels and the floor to get to them. I did it once this year to tighten the gland nut. I do blow out quite a bit of water when I turn over the engine with the coil removed.
