Bit the bullet.. been toying with another truck for while.. after towing from NY to LA and then LA to Moomba Jam on trinity, i was craving more power.. looked at a chip for my 1500.. looked at F250s (mandley was perpetuating that).. $4/gal fuel was the big vote against.. looked at GMC with 6.2l...
finally settled on f150 with Ecoboost. tons of folks on Wakeworld are towing with and are pleased.
WE'll see.. AT least it matches the boat..

picked up Saturday afternoon and parked it.. been out of town since. only put a few miles on it. Got a long drive today up to N Louisiana.. we'll see how that goes. got some break in to do before it tows...

Sweet Ride Brad!
My buddy got an Ecoboost almost a year ago and loves it. Pulls like a dream - only neg thing he mentioned was that when towing his 30ft travel trailer it really pushes him around compared to a heavier truck. (He used to have an F350)2001 MobiusV

I'm putting my Avalanche up for sale soon. Looking at the ecoboost, the f250, or another avalanche. I just want/need 4 wd. This is my first 2wd truck, and my last.
Keep an update on your truck, and the gas mileage. Thanks.2008 Outback

As an owner of one for a few months i think your really gonna like it. Mine is still fun to drive, although i,m still not getting the milleage they claim it should.
I still have issues with heavy foot so that may be the problem ,but i have heard ,like many new vehichles there is a Breakin point ,that is actually holding the vehichles back from optimum milleage.... Still waiting.
I have a service appointment this weekend , Slight vibration ... suspecting driveshaft, unbalanced so a new one is ordered, gotta ask about the milleage issue when i go. Forgot the last time in.
As for the trailer screen on the dash , READ the book because it can and will do lots of things, i try not to mess around but i did notice when pulling another trailer once all kinds of sensors and a screen display came up . I did as little as possible trying not to mess things up.
I really love this truck and i think you will too. There now are many upgrade packages out there to give more power and mileage, ive pretty much picked what i want, but want to wait till a little more warranty has expired as most are not Ford approved. Rousch which is approved , HAD a cold air box but has taken it off the market as they have/had some issues,so hopefully they get it figured out soon, then cat back exhaust from Rousch ,maybe and a tuner. Winter is apon us so i will wait till i can actually use the extra power... Anyways good luck . Keep us posted.07 Outback DD
