new Tow Truck

Bit the bullet.. been toying with another truck for while.. after towing from NY to LA and then LA to Moomba Jam on trinity, i was craving more power.. looked at a chip for my 1500.. looked at F250s (mandley was perpetuating that).. $4/gal fuel was the big vote against.. looked at GMC with 6.2l...
finally settled on f150 with Ecoboost. tons of folks on Wakeworld are towing with and are pleased.

WE'll see.. AT least it matches the boat..

picked up Saturday afternoon and parked it.. been out of town since. only put a few miles on it. Got a long drive today up to N Louisiana.. we'll see how that goes. got some break in to do before it tows...

My buddy got an Ecoboost almost a year ago and loves it. Pulls like a dream - only neg thing he mentioned was that when towing his 30ft travel trailer it really pushes him around compared to a heavier truck. (He used to have an F350)

I'm putting my Avalanche up for sale soon. Looking at the ecoboost, the f250, or another avalanche. I just want/need 4 wd. This is my first 2wd truck, and my last.

one cool feature i am looking forward to is there is a Digi screen on dash that has a tow info function. not sure what all it shows, but looking forward to seeing.

Good looking truck man. It makes me want to go look at them but in the end i know id be disapointed once the new shine wore off. I love my big azz diesel LOL.

oh, you got the LWB Crew.. this thing would feel like a go-cart.
We drove to houston Mon/Tues in a 250 Diesel (somehow this truck has police chip it)... IT SCreams! but i just cant stomach the fuel bill and parking that beast..
i think the ecoboost will be fine..

Mini Max tuner running 300 hp tune

When ever i want to go fast my traction control kicks in. When i turn it off the truck trys to go sideways LOL.

The fuel guage goes down pretty steady when i do that.

I do really like the Eco Boost, everything i hear is pretty positive about them. I am curious how the engines will do with 50K + on them. I havnt read to much on them after getting some decent milage.

I bet its got so get up and go though with twin turbos.

I know when i went from a Single on Black Betty to Duels in Serenity it was a serious kick in the pants when you punch that skinny pedal .
