I've been reading posts for days now and am getting close to a new prop. 08 supra 22ssv with 340 motor. Run about 1600#'s boarding and a little more to surf. Usually 6 people too. The elevation where we boat is 5000' I run a weird size OJ prop. It's 13.75x15.5 and I think a .090 cup. I get good rpm empty (5000). My prop runs like a raped ape at 800' but needs a little more here. Top speed empty is 40. nettles thinks a 1847 would work jim at acme thinks a 1433 would work.

Both are good. I went from a 13.7x17.5 (stock) to the 1847 and am happy. It's like a workhorse for grunting around a lot of extra weight and you really don't lose much top end.

I run the 1847 and about 2k in wake board ballast and have no issues. And that with Moomba cruise that won't go over you speed rpms...

Love it, we run around 2200lbs surfing with no issues and still have enough top end speed for slaloming...

I have the 1433 and really like it, I did not have the shim the trailer at all. It pulls hard when fully weighted ( 3000 lbs plus people) and actually saved me some cash on fuel when surfing as the engine was not working near as hard. I dont know enough about the 1847 to comment on it. I just know that the 1433 wad a great choice for my boat and I would recommend it to anyone that is not a barefooter or a salom skier primary.

I ordered an extra hub ass. from boatmate and they are sending some 3/8 and 1/2 shims along with it. The local dealer here usually puts the OJ468 prop which is 14.25 dia. and they say they don't have issues with clearance. I have 11/4" clearance now to the prop guard so shims on the bunks sounds like a good idea.
