I am looking at buying an impeller puller to make my life a lot easier. I found two puller online, one by
Sea-Dog Stainless Steel Impeller Puller for $44.99 and Jabsco Flexible Impeller Puller for $89.99. Can anyone tell me if the Sea-Dog SS Impeller puller is worth the money or just spend the extra money for the Jabsco puller?

Yikes... Instead of $50-90 I'm thinking something like this along with a little WD-40 would do the trick.

Spray the impeller shaft with WD40, pull the coil wire off, bump the motor over a few times, then I use 2 paint can openers to pull it out....

Mine new one always seems to come with a little packet of silicone lube to lube it up for reinstall.
I used the dual vice grip method, oil, bump, install two pairs of vice grips 180 degrees from each other and pull like hell...sometimes it may not be useable as a back up when it gets out but it gets it out...David

I remove the impeller every season using a pair of locking needle nose vise grips as shown. Works great.

Grip the impeller as shown. Apply gentle pressure, just enough to lock the vise grips.
