No basements in Texas. Do most homes end up with and additional 1st, 2nd or garage space for storage?

did ya get to scratch your initials in the concrete?

I did one house with a slab-on-grade foundation and I'll take joists anyday. it's easier on my old knees.. but it is the way they build em in the south.

I was thinking face print... Fool Heidi into putting her hands in it... then push hard on the back of the neck!

I'm at work so I have not even seen it in over a week so no hand or face print for me.

And for storage we have attics and some use their garages. I prefer the attic since I like a clean open garage to park/work in

Down south we don't need storage space for our parkas, snowshoes, etc. and don't need to hide from the cold for 6 months out of the year.

I thought basements would be a good addition during hurricane season, but being from the north, I've never seen one

Don't think I'd want to be down in a hole when a hurricane is raining down.

You're thinking of tornadoes, totally different element. Basement would be under water quick in a hurricane. Here is today's progress!
