Can you research history of a boat by the vin#?
Where do you go to get the information?
Cheers

The VIN number should be registered with the state in which the boat resides. You might be able to get some basic info from the DMV. Also try contacting the boat manufacturer, I'm certain that they keep records of all the VIN numbers they manufacture and ship out.
What kind of info are you trying to find?Jeff

The current owner is the 3rd for the boat. I have a good feeling about him but don't have a clue about the previous owners. You can do a lot of things wrong with a boat.
I've decided to have a pre check inspection done on it regardless. Seems you cannot run random boat VINS like that of vehicles
Cheers,
Also, if anyone has comments or insight on the 00' Outback LS that would be cool
