    of my new custom Strut? haha..once i poped her off the shaft went back to her original position

    it didnt look like that after i popped it off..it lined right up with the rudder and i checked the gap where the shaft came out of the boat and it was ( from what i can tell) about equal all the way around

    there looks to be a brass sleeve in the strut..is that part of the rubber seal in there? when i replace the seal do i have to get that sleeve out as well?

    That's a bushing that acts as a bearing. you can't replace it. These are sealed they use water as the hydrodyamic lubricant in the bushing like a plain bearing.

    But can replace that bushing? I have seen some for sale. I ask because if I can't replace it, then I might as well get a new strut and not try and save me 500$ on a new one

    we got her a straight as we could for now..thinking if i should try some more or not. i think worse case ill be buying bushings more often
