Prbably not the board to learn on. I learned on an O'brien Alias, the difference is huge.

I'm interested but I'm concerned about the length. I sold a 4'6" Alias a few months ago because it was too short for my height/weight. Was thinking about getting a 5"6" board. What size would this board be good for? I'm 6' about 195.

that would be on the end of the limit. according to their website up to 200 lbs.
you might look around for a inland surfer blue lake. just being honest.
