Got my xtreme bilge heater today, just in time for the 80 degree weather we are going to have this week. There is usually a couple winter storms in late march so when i de winterize it next week when more below freezing weather comes back i wont be as concered with damage to the engine. I still will drain the water but will sleep better knowing the temp is not going to be below 40 degrees in the boat.

Is that just a free standing heater or do you hook it to something.

I had no idea that such a product existed! This sounds great! I see that it's mounted to the floor in the picture. So, is safe to mount anywhere, even places that could be immersed in water (when the power is off)?
Do you guys also have one for the boat's interior? The plumbing system and the in-boat heater run too far forward for bilge heat to protect them.

Jclay5, Can you post some pic's of how you have the heater mounted. I was looking at getting one so i can get out on the water soon. This winter has been too long and i am starting to go crazy.
