Hello all.
So I just bought my 2008 Outback in April and have only had time to get it out twice thanks to work and weather. So far..love it.
Now today after crawling under to wax it for the summer I notice a crack in the gelcoat near the center of the hull.
It is not an open crack, but more of a surface crack that i can feel slightly.
How much of a concern is this and what if anything should I do ?
I also have a similar ones, like spider cracks in the area where the shaft comes through the hull.
I did not see these when I looked and bought the boat as it was not real clean under the boat from the previous owners summer use, and not an easy area to view anyways.
The sides and top are flawless, just these 2 beneath that are making me nervous that I made a mistake.
Thanks

I will crawl under and try and get some photos when the weather and work cooperate. Speaking with a fiberglass shop yesterday the guy said it did not sound like any sort of emergency, but something to maybe look at fixing up at some point. Just wondering how this happens and if it was from abuse, or can the gelcoat just get stress cracks that is no big deal ?
