I always liked how Cobalts had hinged seats, so I added some to my LSV. Cobalt will cut any size you want, but I just went with 12" for the two seats I hinged. Cost about $15 per foot. An added bonus is that these are the two seats I was worried about flying away when I towed coverless, so that's no longer an issue. Anyway, here are some quick camera phone pics.

That's a great idea. I may even hinge my front seats, too. My 2000 OB LS had hinges, and my 2007 OB V doesn't.

I Like too. So your able to give a little lift on the front side, slide out some, then grab the back to open?

I like the fact that they won't blow out, as I almost always trailer mine open, but I really like being able to remove them for cleaning, and to fold the tower down into the 20ssv, you have to remove several of the cushions or the tower sets on top of them, crushing them.

Just one update... the hinges came pre-drilled with only three screws per side, and I was worried about the stress if someone were to lean on an open seat. I drilled a few more holes, added some screws, and sleep a lot better now.
