just wanted to share this. i made this in about two hours which includes 40 minutes drive time to home depot & back. west marine sells them for $40.00.
materials:
plunger
1/2" FIP x 1/2 MIP (or slip) adapter PVC
1/2" MIP x Garden hose adapter
1/2" O rings (rounded type)
cut hole slightly smaller than 1/2" in plunger, insert garden hose adapter with O ring, screw PVC adapter to garden hose adapter inside the plunger head.

it was either the brick or try to make my wife hold it in place. i chose wisely.
