It was a year of firsts for Terry Winter in 2006. He won his first tournament as a professional slalom skier – the Pro Shootout. He signed his first contract with Skier’s Choice becoming the first professional skier to use the Moomba Outback boat. He was named Slalom Skier of the Year by USA Water Ski, the national governing body for organized water skiing in the U.S. And oh yeah, he got married, too. He and Kristen Hayes were married on the beach in Mexico in November.

“It was the most incredible year of my life,” says the 28-year-old champion. “It’s hard to believe so many great things happened. It sets the stage for a phenomenal year in 2007.”

Winter has little time to rest. He’s busy now training for the upcoming Moomba Masters, which are held in Australia during March.
