Amber Wing Wins 2nd Australian Pro Tour Stop

Amber Wing Wins 2nd Australian Pro Tour Stop in Hometown Sydney, Australia

Wing continues to accumulate more than just points on the Australian Pro Tour, she’s taking the lead. Wing competed in her hometown of Sydney, Australia on the glassy lakes of Penrith’s Regatta Centre. The event has been said to be arguably wakeboarding’s biggest event so far this season, with over 30,000 spectators that lined the banks and grandstands.

Wing competed against ten women to gain her place in one of the four spots available in the finals. Hayley Smith, Melissa Marquardt and Rebecca Gange joined Wing in the final line up.

Rebecca Gange was first off the dock. She stomped a bunch of big solid inverts and clean roll to revert coming unstuck on her topside 3. Melissa Marquardt rode big and clean, grabbing everything in her pass, clean melon 3 and a big ollie onto the rail, catching a back edge on her toeside roll to blind last trick. Hayley Smith finished her second pass with a big toe 5, finished a clean second pass stomping a big Hoochie Glide off the double up. Amber Wing last off the dock was feeling the pressure and stood up both her passes clean to take the win.
