Boat Summerization Tips

 

1. Clean your boat: Start by giving your boat a good wash and wax. This will remove any dirt and grime that may have accumulated over the winter and protect the finish of your boat.
2. Inspect the hull: Check the bottom of the boat for any cracks, dings, or damage. If you find any issues, have them repaired before launching your boat.
3. Check the motor: Make sure the motor is in good working condition by checking the oil, coolant, and fuel levels. Also, inspect the belts and hoses for any signs of wear or damage.
4. Check the electrical system: Make sure all the lights and gauges are working properly. Inspect the battery and charging system to ensure that they are in good condition.
5. Check the safety equipment: Make sure you have all the required safety equipment on board, such as life jackets, flares, fire extinguisher, and a First Aid Kit. Also, make sure all the equipment is in good working condition.
6. Check the trailer: Inspect the trailer for any damage or wear and tear. Check the tires, wheel bearings, and brakes to ensure they are in good working condition.
